Job Opening with Oakland Unite in the City of Oakland

The City of Oakland is currently recruiting to fill a Program Analyst I (Selective Certification – Community Engagement) position in the Oakland Unite Division within the Human Services Department.

The incumbent will work directly with the City of Oakland’s Oakland Unite Community Engagement staff in partnership with Alameda County’s Public Health Department through the City County Neighborhood Initiative (CCNI) which seeks to empower residents to act collectively to address the social inequities that impact the health and safety of their neighborhood. The position provides community capacity building to increase the ability of Oakland residents to identify issues that impact their neighborhood and organize and develop effective solutions. The Community Building Coordinator role includes community engagement and organizing, training and coaching residents, facilitating community-led efforts, and performing related duties as assigned.
