Oakland Civicorps Program Participant Honored as a Corpsmember of the Year by National Corps Network
Oakland Unite is a proud funder of Civicorps reentry employment program. Agencies such as Civicorps are working hard on a daily basis to help young people in Oakland overcome their trauma and reach their full potential as productive community members.
The story of Harris Cox is a shinning example of the success of Civicorps’ approach. Twenty-four year old Harris Cox was one of five people honored by the National Corps Network at their annual celebration in Washington, D.C. He received an award for Corpsmember of the Year.
