This strategy provides funding for trained personnel who conduct outreach, community organizing, and provide services to the most at risk youth and young adults, who are most likely to be victims and/or perpetrators of violence, and their families. These services are provided in coordination with Oakland Police Department in order to maximize impact.

Crisis Response and Support Network provides first response, intensive support services and mental health to friends and relatives of homicide victims.
Highland Hospital Intervention provides intensive support services to young gun shot victims under the age of 24 at Highland Hospital.
Street Outreach provides neighborhood and “hot spot” specific street outreach in high-violence areas in order to reduce street violence.
