Mental Health Services

Mental Health Services to 0-5 is done by two CBOs, one reduce family violence and child maltreatment by providing mental health consultations to 160 children at Head Start sites, and the other provides intensive play therapy, dyadic parent-child therapy and parent counseling for the families of 30 small children (0 to 5) exposed to violence and/or sexually abused, referred through the Alameda County Family Justice Center (ACFJC).  Oakland Unite funds serves the children not currently receiving Medi-Cal benefits or are receiving benefits that do not cover crisis mental health intervention.
